Since 2016, the partnership of Global Orphan Relief (GO!) & Christ Mission to the World in South Sudan has provided an estimated 1.2 million meals to vulnerable children in South Sudan producing a healthy impact for rural communities.

Intervention by Global Orphan Relief (GO!) & Christ Mission to the World in South Sudan has gone beyond in making sure the sustainability and safeguarding of these beneficiaries physically.

Biblical instruction is also a key component of what is taking place at three village schools in the Aweil area impacting more than 3,000 vulnerable children.

There is a myriad of reasons why this work is important and why you should consider being involved with blessing orphaned children in some way.

Corporately, the scripture is clear as to our mandate. We go into this a bit deeper later in this material, but just let me say that there is no better way to demonstrate the love of the Father than by serving an orphan child.

We continue to step out boldly in 2022 to provide aid to an increasing number of orphan children around the world. As we have in the past, we navigate these uncertain times focused on the future. Each step we take puts us closer to where the Father would have us available to be His hands and feet. I believe that we are going places that we can’t even imagine…

We joined hands with local leaders in Kenya last month to deploy the Church to serve orphan children. While this is a bold vision, our first one-day workshop was held on February 26th in Nairobi, with more than 200 pastors and ministry leaders in attendance. It is exciting to see so many join us for the adventure of a lifetime and see God move in a powerful way through caring for orphan children.

We expect a challenging three months as the needs of orphan children around the world increase at an exponential rate. As we become aware of needs in the field we cannot simply turn away. All we can do is make others aware of the needs that exists and pray for His provision.

Faith or Presumption? This is a question that we grapple with regularly. While I understand straight-line budgeting that takes place at many churches, we do not operate within the same type of constraints. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of challenges, but we can raise funding in ways that is not the norm in a church.…

I always want to do more… If we know of a need, my thought is to fill it. My mindset is that if people know about a need, they will step-up to meet it.

Nearly half of all girls in South Sudan marry before the age of 18. A report from Human Rights Watch highlights that dowry often leads families to force their girls to marry as early as possible.

A young, orphaned schoolgirl in South Sudan says she is blessed to be part of Global Orphanage Relief sponsored schools where she gets girl child education and other rights to education.

We recently enrolled 40 new students into one of the local schools in Zambia, and now support 321 orphaned children via our Scholarship Initiative in Zambia. To include DR Congo and Kenya, there are now 574 orphaned children continuing in their education thanks to you. These are children that would lack the resources needed to attend school without your assistance. Well done!

They have been working through several problems. The biggest is the rain. The rains came late but have overflowed the rivers and streams like Mike has never seen in the past. He’s been trying to get to the Valley to visit the House of Hope but had to keep delaying. He’s going to try again tomorrow.

The Great Commandment Workshop concept has always meant to be indigenous, self-propagating, & self-supporting within the local community. We are to be working with our GO! Kenya Team, Pastors Isaiah & Benson, as we hold our first one-day workshop in Nairobi on February 26th. Not only are these excited about mobilizing the local church to serve orphans, but they are well connected within their respective communities that will insure a quick start for this new initiative.

Faith Anastasia, our fourth child, was born into the world on May 4, 2005. As prepared as we thought we were after experiencing the healthy births of our first three, our experience with Faith was powerful and life-altering—though our time with her was inexplicably short. In 2021 we experienced many milestones; we served a record number of children, we raised a record level of funding, and we initiated many new ministry relationships in preparation to serve an even larger number of children in the future.

We are returning to Kenya to follow-up on our August deployment and look forward to co-hosting our first Great Commandment Workshop event, along with a myriad of other activities scheduled during our time in the field.

We look forward to serving additional children in need in Kenya in the months and years ahead.

Many were blessed in December as our partner Bethel Church of Pakistan held multiple Christmas celebrations and also distributed the normal monthly support during these meetings.

As part of our Orphans & Widows partnership in Pakistan this good work continues, and we are looking forward to growing this effort in coming years one family at a time.

On Wednesday last week heavily armed Misseriya Arab militia men from North Sudan attacked Yieth Pabol, Malou and Machar Villages in Aweil East, killing 30 civilians and children. The attackers wounded many others, and several houses were set ablaze. As many as 150 families were displaced due to this violence.

Nelly Malambo is fifteen years old and lives at the House of Hope Orphanage (HOHO) in Sinazongwe, Zambia. Nelly and her brother Charles came from Chipepo to receive care in 2013.

I consider myself a life-long learner, and lessons that I learn build upon previous education and or experience. So many things would not have been available to me if I did not know how to read, write, or do simple math. Without an education my life would have been something far less.
