GREAT COMMANDMENT WORKSHOP (GCW) INITIATIVE LAUNCH FEBRUARY 26TH
The anticipation is building in Nairobi as we plan to convene 200 Church & Ministry leaders in Nairobi on February 26th. In fact, with the event more than three weeks from now, we already have 108 committed to be in attendance.
Plain and simple, the GCW is cooperative effort with a few local leaders to deploy the Church to serve the impoverished; specifically orphan children. Long-term, this effort is to be indigenous, self-propagating, & self-supporting within the local community. Our objective is to simply act as the catalyst for God to move in a powerful way. GO! will co-host each event, fund a majority of the one-day workshop costs, and then provide ongoing encouragement to those who decide to demonstrate this Great Commandment mandate in their own communities.
To accomplish these objectives, we have been working with Pastor Isaiah Kimani and Pastor Benson Musyimi to coordinate the launch of the GCW in Nairobi, and to arrange for a kick-off meeting in Mombasa as we prepare to roll-out the GCW in Kenya’s second largest city.
Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. --James 1:27 (NLT)
Please be praying for this launch in February. We are highly expectant that God will show-up for the orphans in Kenya through His Church. We look forward to seeing a move of God in Nairobi!
