Lueth-wek Headteacher Praises GO! Nutrition on Children's Health

Lueth-wek Headteacher says the nutritional support from GO! Has impacted Children’s Growth

By Thiik-awet,

SOUTH SUDAN (Lueth-wek)

The headteacher of Lueth-wek Primary School has greatly applauded the impact that nutritional project contributes to children’s healthy growth with psychological empowerment in South Sudan. In his brief statement, headteacher Piol Philip Piol says their village is blessed to have such opportunity for support from Global Orphanage Relief with implementation from partnering church-based organization, the Christ Mission to the World.

“This project has helped our community and particularly the children without parental cares, orphans or those whose parents can’t afford their sustainability.” Piol reiterates.

According to Piol, his school has had several functions which include school meals, spiritual counseling, preaching for the Word of God and basic education.

“This support has improved the children status especially their growth and psychological wellbeing. They have been at an excellent status since this funding started here. We are grateful of this opportunity and would wish this to continue.” Piol further reiterates.

In collaboration with Christ Mission to the World, GO! has been instrumental in producing promising children of this generation.

In their village living conditions, their lives have been difficult here as experiences can demonstrate; but kids now become active church goers and are physically healthy thanks to the nutrition now provided.

We have served in South Sudan since 2016 and have provided an estimated 1.2 million meals impacting more than 3,200 children in South Sudan. The scale of this initiative has grown by over 7 times since our launch in 2016, and this growth is driven by the near-famine conditions and other socio-economic challenges in this country.

In cooperation with two partners, Kids for the Kingdom & Christ Mission to the World, we have invested in these three school sites with additional infrastructure since Q3 2020 by investing $130,000 for clean water, kitchens, storerooms, and latrines. We are thankful for these partners that make this work possible.

Global Orphan Relief (GO) has been serving orphaned children since 2005. We have accomplished this work through local partners in each country that provides oversight and distribution of care.
