Meet Brigit Makena of Fortune Learners' Centre

Meet Brigit Makena, an 11-year old orphan girl who attends Fortune Learners’ Centre in Kayole –Nairobi. Makena lives with her mother who is currently running a small grocery but can’t raise enough to fully support all their needs.

He is now receiving aid via our Nutrition Initiative at Fortune Learners’ Centre in Nairobi, Kenya, and will be attending FLC on a GO! Scholarship in the coming year.

2022 Field Support Update

We are making good progress in the field through the first two quarters of 2022. We had experienced some difficulties in March and April, but after a Field Realignment that began in May, along with the generosity of many of you, we have regained our footing and are now prepared to grow again.

One Big Bucket of Fish

As many of you know, I visited Kenya earlier this year for the launch of our Church Mobilization Initiative. This was the primary purpose of my visit, but I also spent some time in Nairobi visiting with our field partners and visiting their project sites. I was able to take some time to visit with one family in Kayole that cause the Church to move on their behalf. Beautiful!

Based on our Church Mobilization Initiative, via our Great Commandment Workshops (GCW), we are witnessing the local church moving out in their communities to serve orphan children.
