Church Mobilization Initiative Moves Beyond Kenya
Church Mobilization Initiative Moves Beyond Kenya

For those who are part of our movement, you are aware of our recent launch of our Church Mobilization Initiative. We accomplished our kickoff in February in Kenya when we shared with over 300 ministry leaders regarding serving the impoverished -orphan children specifically. We are advancing this effort through the facilitation of Great Commandment Workshops in local communities.
Since February, led by Minister Isaiah Kimani of Nairobi, we have held another seven events with over 1,000 leaders in attendance.
What you may not know is that Minister Isaiah has spent the last week in Zambia as we plan the roll-out of our Church Mobilization Initiative in this country at the end of October. He has been encouraged by his reception from many Pastors in the Copperbelt region of the country, and our launch is scheduled for October 29th.
It is exciting that our ministry is now connecting and deploying partners throughout Africa to advance the cause of orphan children. I am especially excited about returning to Zambia where we have served since 2006, and where I have had an opportunity to visit many times since then. We are calling this year’s mission Journey of Faith 2022 and we are hoping to form a team to serve in Zambia during this time.
Based on Minister Isaiah’s meetings he believes that our launch meeting in Kitwe could exceed 200 ministry leaders.
I am looking forward to my return to Zambia, my first visit since 2018, and reconnecting with old friends to advance the cause of orphan children. Many of these same friends were instrumental in working with Minister Isaiah in building enthusiasm for our upcoming launch.
During my visit in Oct/Nov we will also be taking a few days to visit the House of Faith and House of Hope Orphanages in the Southern Province.
Our ministry has been blessed by so many quality partners in the field.
Church Mobilization is our newest initiative launched in February 2022. We are currently working with local area churches to co-host Great Commandment Workshops where we bring together multiple subject matter experts to discuss the why and how to serve the poor generally, and orphan children specifically. We will track the impact of children served through this effort to justify continued investment; however, we have no plans to be funding the care of children through this initiative. We have held ten Great Commandment Workshop events since our launch in February 2022:
Beyond the financial commitment of the workshops, this effort is to be indigenous, self-propagating, and self-supporting. Our objective is to engage local churches to expand our GO! network, mobilize the church body to serve orphaned children, and to advance the Kingdom through demonstrating the Gospel to others. Through these workshops we are:
Minister Isaiah Githinji Kimani is currently the Director designate for the Global Orphan Relief’s Church Mobilization Initiative in Kenya. He coordinates and leads Great Commandment Workshops throughout Kenya. Like minded churches are enlisted to co-host these events under the Global Orphan Relief nonprofit organization based in Colorado, USA. He is leading in championing the rights, interests, and well-being of orphan children by deploying the local Church to be more focused on serving orphaned children in their communities.
