The attackers wounded many others, and several houses were set ablaze. As many as 150 families were displaced due to this violence.

James was blessed to attend Adoor Primary School where he was admitted to our Nutrition Initiative based on his dire circumstances. Today, there are thousands of children just like James, but they are hungry and have no access to nutrition in their communities.

Read MoreI couldn’t help but write down an experience that I had at church this weekend, in hopes that some of you may be blessed by it. We were at the Assumption Cathedral in Denver on Sunday and the service was beautiful and solemn. The sights and sounds took me to a different time and place. It was good.
After church, I hurried over to ‘coffee hour.’ I recognized one of the ladies of the church; she is a friend of the family, and a very nice person. As I went to say hello, I stopped myself.

We have served in South Sudan since 2016, and have provided an estimated 455,840 meals impacting 3,162 vulnerable children in South Sudan in 2021. The scale of this initiative has grown by over 4 times since our launch in 2016, and this growth is driven by the near-famine conditions and other socio-economic challenges in this country.
