We are impacting 230% more children since December 2021, due to the explosive growth in our Church Mobilization Initiative.

This rapid growth as created some stress to our financial structure over the last 12-months. To continue serving at our current scale, additional resources are needed for February.

Return to Asia

Our return to Asia is four years in the making.

We have had several false starts since 2018, but next month we return to Asia with the launch of our Church Mobilization Initiative. This is a very exciting, while challenging time in our ministry as we engage the local church to care for orphan children in their communities. It is awesome to see what God is ready doing with this effort in Kenya and Zambia.

Meru Care Centres Launch

UMC Churches celebrated with their official launch of their Care Centres in the area surrounding Meru, Kenya.

Their leadership hosted a Great Commandment Workshop in June 2022, and now have launched twenty-six (26) Care Centres in Kenya to care for the impoverished with an emphasis on orphan children.

Based on our Church Mobilization Initiative, via our Great Commandment Workshops (GCW) events, we continue to witness the Church in Kenya moving out in their communities to serve orphan children. 5,093 children were served in November by 443 GO! Ambassadors that were commissioned at 9 GCW events in 2022.

Education/Nutrition at JOY Education Centre

As Global Orphans Relief (GO!) in collaboration with Arising Christian Ministries (ACM) provides nutritional support for 48 orphan children that attend the JOY Education Centre in Lucky Summer Estate which is located in Nairobi.

Global Orphan Relief (GO!) in collaboration with field partners in Ethiopia, Kenya, & South Sudan provide nutritional support at some level to 1,725 orphan children. This nutritional support usually involves local schools as the distribution point.

United Methodist Care Centres for Orphans

Meet Brigit Makena of Fortune Learners' Centre

Meet Brigit Makena, an 11-year old orphan girl who attends Fortune Learners’ Centre in Kayole –Nairobi. Makena lives with her mother who is currently running a small grocery but can’t raise enough to fully support all their needs.

He is now receiving aid via our Nutrition Initiative at Fortune Learners’ Centre in Nairobi, Kenya, and will be attending FLC on a GO! Scholarship in the coming year.
