2023 & Building the Future
2023 & Building the Future
December 20, 2022
by Scott Nordstrom
I have never been accused to being too brief, especially when it comes to advocating for orphan children, but I am going to attempt it here.
We finalized our budget earlier this month, and then based on news received just this week, we have exceeded (again) the number of children we expected to serve for November. We have provided the following to orphan children in 2022:
A home and family for 225 children for all or part of the year.
651 Scholarships so orphan children could attend school.
Provisioned food aid to 1,725 children during the year.
Via our GO! Ambassador Network we provided some level of care/impact for another 5,407 children.
In addition to providing care to orphan children we accomplished the following:
Launched our new Church Mobilization Initiative in Kenya & Zambia.
Trained and Commissioned 638 GO! Ambassadors to care for orphan children in their communities.
Deployed Mission Teams to Kenya & Zambia.
Hosted 180 guests for our 7th Annual Gala Hands of Hope.
We have even higher expectations for 2023 with launches of new Mission Projects and additional Church Mobilization country launches. Our momentum is so strong at this point we believe that we could provide effective impact for up to 10,000 orphan children in the New Year.
The single biggest event that will provide for us to efficiently move into the New Year will be end of year giving that will take place over the next 10-days or so. To illuminate what our opportunities are for success consider the following:
Our year-end need is $157,263 which will allow us to maintain a $25,000 minimum cash balance throughout 2023. At plan we will serve over 10,000+ children next year, but it will all start with the next eleven days.
I am thankful and so very grateful for the many amazing people that are part of this movement, and this brief note was to inform you of the needs, and the opportunities available to serve orphan children. In addition, be praying with us regarding our plans and where and how the Father wants us to serve. We believe to be on target based on what he has put before us, but we want to be certain as we GO!.
I am prayerful that you will decide to join us for your Celebration of Generosity between now and the end of the year, and thank you for your prayerful consideration.
Blessings,
