Education/Nutrition at JOY Education Centre

As Global Orphans Relief (GO!) in collaboration with Arising Christian Ministries (ACM) provides nutritional support for 48 orphan children that attend the JOY Education Centre in Lucky Summer Estate which is located in Nairobi.
Let me take this rare opportunity to give thanks to the Almighty Father for His wonderful connection with the Uncle Scott of GO! and Pastor Benson of ACM.
Through this connection, JOY Education Centre, an institution taking care of many vulnerable children, has benefitted since the introduction of breakfast for our students.
The following areas have really improved in our learning Center:
The Academic progress has increased since through the breakfast the children are able to be active and concentrate in class with their Studies with the food supplies provided.
The number of learners in our school has slightly increased by an additional number of 20 Pupils: making our total student body to 80 learners.
Parents have good relationship with the school since we provided what they couldn't at home by adding breakfast. Due to current economic hardships in the community some parents are unable to offer breakfast to their children.
Going forward we are planning to offer porridge in the morning and afternoon before they go home since some children receive no food at home in the evening.

Global Orphan Relief (GO!) in collaboration with field partners in Ethiopia, Kenya, & South Sudan provide nutritional support at some level to 1,725 orphan children. This nutritional support usually involves local schools as the distribution point.
Plans for 2023 include feeding more orphan children, however, this provision will be limited to growth in resources available.
Our Nutrition Initiative started in 2016 with care being provisioned in South Sudan & Zambia. We have provided an estimated 1.7 million meals impacting more than 3,200 children in just South Sudan alone. Since our launch, the scale of this initiative has grown by over 5 times. This growth is driven by the near-famine conditions, military conflict, and other socio-economic challenges in the countries in which we serve.
Global Orphan Relief (GO) has been serving orphaned children since 2005. We have accomplished this work through local in-country partners that provide oversight and distribution of care.
