Meru Care Centres Launch
UMC Churches celebrated with their official launch of their Care Centres in the area surrounding Meru, Kenya.
Their leadership hosted a Great Commandment Workshop in June 2022, and now have launched twenty-six (26) Care Centres in Kenya to care for the impoverished with an emphasis on orphan children.
Based on our Church Mobilization Initiative, via our Great Commandment Workshops (GCW) events, we continue to witness the Church in Kenya moving out in their communities to serve orphan children. 5,093 children were served in November by 443 GO! Ambassadors that were commissioned at 9 GCW events in 2022.

United Methodist Care Centres for Orphans
UMC Churches receive clarion call of the Great Commandment Workshop that was held in Meru County in June, and now have twenty-six (26) care centers in Kenya, and the are in the process of opening more as God continues to lead them.

Kelvil Minyoso Egadwa's Story
Kelvil Minyoso Egadwa, 48-year-old mother and grandmother. She is a born-again Christian and a minister of the word of God at Kwangware PAG Church. She has been a church leader for more than five years, specifically serving as the head of women's ministry at the church.

Schovia Blessed by GO! Ambassadors
Schovia was found her abandoned at a dumpsite at a place called, Deliverance in Kawangware. She was just a few days old.

2022 Journey of Faith | Church Mobilization
We spent October 31st in Kitwe co-hosting a Great Commandment Workshop event with Kitwe Central Church.
It was wonderful to see the Church gather together to embrace what the scriptures tell us regarding serving the poor -specifically the orphan child.
To date we have enlisted 655 GO! Ambassadors to serve orphan children their communities.

Church Mobilization Initiative Moves Beyond Kenya
We launched our Church Mobilization Initiative in February in Mombasa and Nairobi, Kenya. Since that time, momentum is building as we work to deploy the Church to advance the cause of orphan children.
Recently, the Director for this initiative in Kenya, Minister Isaiah Kimani, has mobilized to Zambia to prepare for our launch into this country where we have served since 2006.

GCW Church Mobilization | Serve With Compassion
Pastor Ding Gatluak shares an update that Serve with Compassion is now serving fifteen orphan children at the Junubeen Baptist Academy in Kakuma Refugee Camp. This is Pastor Ding’s second such report since attending a GCW in Nairobi this past February.

GCW Church Mobilization | Harvest Mission Church-Eastlands Nairobi
We held a Great Commandment Workshop event on Saturday, July 9th, as part of our Church Mobilization Initiative in Kenya. This event was co-hosted by Harvest Mission Church in Eastlands. This event was our tenth such training of the year in Kenya.
We are honored and encouraged to be part of the mobilization of the Church in Kenya to serve orphan children.
