The Orphans & Widows mission project in Punjab, Pakistan, serves eleven widow-led households in Jaranwala, Raiwind, and Narowal impacting forty orphan children. This is accomplished in partnership with the local church in Pakistan.
In Jaranwala this past month, the Christian community experienced violence as 19 churches were gutted, and 89 Christian homes were burned to the ground. This disruption occurred after it was reported that two men desecrated a copy of the Quran. There have been more that 100 men that have been arrested for participating in the riot, along with the two men accused of damaging Islam’s Holy Book. -GO! Team
The families within this mission project receives aid in the form of food, educational support for the children, and pastoral care from our partners there. Thank you!

We thank our local partner in Punjab, Pakistan, for their efforts to provide for the needs of Orphans & Widows in their community. We have served with this team since 2011. As we continue this effort it is important for us to secure the monthly support needed for this current level of aid so we can grow this partnership by serving additional families. Many more widow-led household are in the need of aid.
Today, $1,200 is needed each month to support these eleven families. With your support we can continue to assist these families in need without any further reduction to the aid we are providing. We can also quickly increase the number of children served if resources are available.
Global Orphan Relief (GO!) has been serving orphaned children since 2005, and as a result of this effort, widows, families, and entire communities are transformed through our Home-based Care initiative. The care provided creates a ripple effect through the entire community as we demonstrate God’s love for His people.
