As we began to communicate with our field partners and GO! Ambassadors at the start of July, we could tell that something very special was in the making.
Since 2008 we have tracked our impact by country and by initiative in an effort to focus our resources in high-impact ways. It is important for us to ascertain return-on-investment for our funding partners, and has been a value of our movement from the beginning.
When we started down the road to mobilize the local church in our effort to serve orphan children in 2019, we had no expectations as to the results. We walked slowly as to not over invest in our Church Mobilization Initiative, while offering enough funding to determine what scale of impact could be realized.
After co-hosting twenty Great Commandment Workshops in three countries, we are beginning to see the results of this new effort. This can be easily seen in our 2023 results.
2,200 GO! Ambassadors provided some level of aid for 10,285 orphan children in July. This is an average of just under six children per Ambassador. This ministry leaders serve these children in a myriad of ways. Some by providing school fees, others by hosting them in their homes, and the list goes on and on.
Our GO! Ambassadors are not required to serve within the framework of our three care initiatives as we believe that they no better than us as to what these children need. We are confident that the Church Mobilization Initiative is going to be a large part of our ministry efforts moving forward.
Most of all, we are happy for the 1,000’s of children that are experiencing the love of Jesus for themselves.
Global Orphan Relief (GO) has been serving orphaned children since 2005. We have accomplished this work through local partners in each country that provides oversight and distribution of care. As of July, we are impacting 12,821 orphan children in Asia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Pakistan, South Sudan, and Zambia within our Home-based Care, Scholarship, Nutrition, and Church Mobilization Initiatives.
