Pakistan | Widows & Orphans

As part of our Home-based Care initiative we are working with the Bethel Church of Pakistan to serve widows and orphans in Pakistan. This month we are serving thirteen orphaned children in four families. As a result, four widows that head these households are also blessed.

Due to the negative economic impact of COVID-19 in Pakistan, families are struggling to meet the needs for food, education, and housing. These challenges are magnified for families with widows as the head-of-household. Day labor opportunities have decreased and many other economic opportunities are diminished. Many of these women work to clean the homes of others, and with social distancing limitation many of these jobs have ceased to exist.

Families receive their support from Pastor Saleem of the Bethel Church of Pakistan.

With your support these families are offered a helping hand, while keeping these children at home with their mothers and connected to extended family rather than displacing them in an orphanage. In some cases, we are providing food and rent relief for these families, and with others, assistance with school fees are provided.

What we are providing for these families is good and beautiful.

Religion that is pure and good before God the Father is to help children who have no parents and to care for women whose husbands have died who have troubles. Pure religion is also to keep yourself clean from the sinful things of the world.. -James 1:27 (NLT)

At this time, we have eleven additional orphaned children, in four households headed by widows, that are in need of aid for food, rent and education. We invite you to be part of the solution for these families that are in desperate need of help.

We have been serving orphaned children since 2005, and as a result of this effort, widows, families, and entire communities are transformed through our Home-based Care initiative.  The care we provide has a ripple effect through the entire community as we demonstrate God’s love for His people.
