May 2017 Program Update
We have just concluded our May’s Financial Report for the board and thought we would share with you an update as to where we are and what we have accomplished in 2017.
PROGRAM UPDATE
DR Congo – Since funding this program in December 2014, up to 170 orphaned children have been able to attend school. In addition, this school is administered by the Wesleyan Methodist Church of DR Congo and maintains the highest of standards. These children are also receiving biblical curriculum that they may not receive otherwise.
We have continued this effort in 2017 which means that more children are receiving the education they need in the DR Congo. Without our support, these 170 orphaned children would not receive a basic education. CLICK HERE TO KEEP CHILDREN IN SCHOOL TODAY!
South Sudan – Orphaned children receive life-sustaining nutrition at school each day. Without this aid, not only would these children not attend school, but they would have a tougher time with just survival. 300 children in South Sudan eat because of you! We have also invested $6,000 in sustainability projects and life-saving medicines. Through these investments this program will require less on ongoing funding for food.
Zambia – Lastly, we are now serving 288 orphaned children in Zambia that receive care in various ways to include orphanage-based care, scholarships, and foster care support. CLICK HERE TO KEEP CHILDREN IN SCHOOL! Or CLICK HERE TO SUPPORT A CHILD IN ONE OF OUR ORPHAN HOMES!
House of Faith Orphanage – We continue to provide education through 7th grade with private schooling at the orphanage. Our testing scores for entering 8thgrade are more successful making the transition to 8thgrade and beyond less traumatic. We have also started construction on another bathhouse at the orphanage.
House of Hope Orphanage – We continue to develop this project with the Community Centre nearing completion. In addition, the next phase at House of Hope will be opening the 2nd orphan home and fencing in the property.
Kenya & Pakistan – We suspended all the programs in Kenya and Pakistan at the end of April. Between the 2 countries we were serving 64 children with 25 children with orphan-based care, 33 children with care support, and 6 children on scholarship. We did provide them some notice, but none of the 3 programs have been able to garner support elsewhere.

May God Bless you for your heart for the Orphaned Child!
