South Sudan is a country that gained independence in 2011, and where we have served alongside of Christ Mission to the World (CMW) since 2016. We work with CMW in five locations; four village schools, and one orphanage located at a Church, to feed 1,753 orphan children.

Global Orphan Relief equips students with needed supplies, including shoes, uniforms, and other essentials, enabling them to attend school.

We will provide Hope for the Future to more than 500 orphan children in Kenya & Zambia by empowering them to attend school in 2025!

June GO! Ambassador of the Month in Kenya

Join us in celebrating Gerald K’oduongas our GO! Ambassador of the month for June in Kenya.

Gerald is one of our 2,108 GO! Ambassadors in Kenya who served 10,318 orphan children in this country.

Meet Sharon Wekesa who  is a 10- year-old girl from a family of five. Their home is headed by her widowed mother with Sharon being the firstborn with three other siblings.

Today, we are supporting 589 orphan children through our Education Initiative, with 212 of these children attending Fortune Learners’ Centre in Nairobi, Kenya.

As part of our Home-Based Care Initiative, aid is provided to support widow-led households allowing families to stay together.

88 such children are being blessed in Ulutya, Kenya, and your generosity sustains these families!

Through research, collaboration, and training, Candid connects people who want to change the world to the resources they need to do it.

In 2023, we were honored to serve in new places within Asia with continued roll-out of our Church Mobilization Initiative.

We continued to scale our care initiatives (Home-Based Care, Education, & Nutrition) where we cared for an average of 2,465 each month.

June is no different as we have set out to care for more than 2,700 orphan children in our three care initiatives; Home-Based Care, Education, and Nutrition and plan to impact another 12,600 children through our Church Mobilization efforts.

Great Commandment Academy launches in Kenya

The team in Nairobi has been working on the launch of a learning platform for our GO! Ambassadors in Kenya. Our plan is to roll this out for additional countries, which will require additional languages, later in 2024 and into 2025.

Leadership Summit held in Nairobi, Kenya, on May 11th.

More than 30 local ministry leaders joined us in an exchange of ideas, and encouragement regarding serving orphan children.

I have been told during travels to Africa that “water is life”. None of us can live without water, and for many, one of the necessities of life is very difficult to come by.
