2008 – Mission teams building in Silembe the “Bush”

In 2008, two more mission teams followed. With Mike Jones’ leadership the development of the first orphanage campus, House of Faith Orphanage, made miraculous progress and opened to receive our first child in March.

Between the two teams in 2008 we deployed 20 volunteers and delivered approximate 1,000 lbs. of supplies for the children in Zambia. 

2008, Receive our first child at House of Faith Orphanage

Our first child Sibajane Mudenda is received at the House of Faith in March.  The first home begins to fill-up with widow Elizabeth as housemom.

In June we changed our name to Global Orphan Relief, GO! for short, from World Orphan Relief.

Results: We finished the year serving 19 children, with 123 total months of care.
