Dear GO! Movement,
I am writing to share my journey and the heartfelt mission that I have been dedicated to for the past eight years. My name is Gerald K’oduong, and I have been blessed with the opportunity to care for five orphans, providing for their basic needs, including food, education, and emotional support. This work has been deeply fulfilling and is guided by a profound sense of duty inspired by the words in James 1:27: "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."
My commitment to these children began with a simple realization of their vulnerability and the urgent need for care and support. Over the years, I have witnessed the transformative power of love, stability, and education in their lives. The children, who once faced an uncertain future, are now thriving, attending school regularly, and growing into responsible young individuals with hopes and dreams.
A significant source of encouragement throughout this journey has been Isaiah Githinji. His unwavering support, wise counsel, and faith have been a cornerstone of my efforts. Isaiah's presence in my life has been a constant reminder of the importance of perseverance and compassion. He has inspired me to continue striving for the best outcomes for these children, even when faced with challenges.
Feeding and educating these children has been a challenging but immensely rewarding journey. I have seen first-hand the importance of providing not just the basic necessities, but also a nurturing environment where they feel safe, valued, and encouraged. My drive to continue this noble task is rooted in the belief that every child deserves a chance to succeed, regardless of their circumstances.
I am reaching out to the Global Orphans Relief Organization to share my story and seek support in sustaining and expanding this mission. The work is far from over, and with the increasing number of children in need, it is crucial to gather resources and partnerships to continue providing comprehensive care. Your organization's commitment to helping orphans resonates with my mission, and I believe that together, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of these children.
I am grateful for the opportunity to share my testimony and would be honored to discuss how we can collaborate to further support the well-being and future of these orphans. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Gerald K’oduong

Global Orphan Relief (GO) has been serving orphaned children since 2005. We have accomplished this work to date through local partners in each country that provides oversight and distribution of care through three care initiatives; Home-Based Care, Education, and Nutrition. In 2022, we launched our Church Mobilization Initiative where we are mobilizing the local church to care for orphan children. Last month, we impacted over 17,000 children in Asia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Pakistan, South Sudan, and Zambia within these four initiatives.
Beyond the financial commitment of the workshops, this effort is to be indigenous, self-propagating, and self-supporting. Our objective is to engage local churches to expand our GO! network, mobilize the church body to serve orphaned children and to advance the Kingdom through demonstrating the Gospel to others. Through these workshops, we are:
Church Mobilization is our newest initiative launched in February 2022. We are currently working with local area churches to co-host Great Commandment Workshops where we bring together multiple subject matter experts to discuss the why and how to serve the poor generally, and orphan children specifically. We track the impact of children served through this effort to justify continued investment.
We have co-hosted and facilitated twenty-six workshops in Africa and Asia where we have hosted 4,735 ministry leaders. After holding these workshops, we have been honored to commission 3,032 GO! Ambassadors. GO! Ambassadors are those who have received the call to serve orphan children in their communities during these one-day workshops and have made a commitment to serve children in their community. Holistic growth continues from the original workshops held and we now encourage a total of 3,686 GO! Ambassadors monthly.
