by GO! Kenya Team

Join us in celebrating Caroline as our GO! Ambassador of the month for April in Kenya.

Caroline Amunze is a 53-years-old wife and mom to 3 adult children. She lost one child in a road accident. She attends All Souls Parish, Diocese of Maseno North. Caroline Amunze is an HR practitioner but does not practice, currently she works with NHIF. She is also a SYNOD member in church.

She came for the Great Commandment Workshop held in July last year at ACK church In Kakamega. After the workshop, she decided to sponsor orphans through school.

Initially, Caroline was supporting orphan children in any way that she could. Last year in September, Caroline lost a son through a road accident.

After this experience, Caroline made a decision to fully sponsor the three orphans. She supports them by paying for their school fees and providing all school requirements. One is at African Nazarene University another at Anex College in Kakamega and the other orphan is in Junior secondary in Grade 8.

"Supporting orphans is part of my life, and if you aren't serving them then you are doing a disservice to the kingdom of God.

We need to share despite how small for it goes a long way to save a life," as Caroline encouraged other Christians.

Congratulations to Caroline for this recognition as she boldly encourages others to walk out in faith.

Global Orphan Relief (GO) has been serving orphaned children since 2005. We have accomplished this work to date through local partners in each country that provides oversight and distribution of care through three care initiatives; Home-Based Care, Education, and Nutrition. In 2022, we launched our Church Mobilization Initiative where we are mobilizing the local church to care for orphan children. Last month, we impacted over 14,000 children in Asia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Pakistan, South Sudan, and Zambia within these four initiatives.

Beyond the financial commitment of the workshops, this effort is to be indigenous, self-propagating, and self-supporting.  Our objective is to engage local churches to expand our GO! network, mobilize the church body to serve orphaned children and to advance the Kingdom through demonstrating the Gospel to others.  Through these workshops, we are:

Church Mobilization is our newest initiative launched in February 2022.  We are currently working with local area churches to co-host Great Commandment Workshops where we bring together multiple subject matter experts to discuss the why and how to serve the poor generally, and orphan children specifically.  We track the impact of children served through this effort to justify continued investment.

We have co-hosted and facilitated twenty-six workshops in Africa and Asia where we have hosted 4,633 ministry leaders. After holding these workshops, we have been honored to commission 3,325 GO! Ambassadors. GO! Ambassadors are those who have received the call to serve orphan children in their communities during these one-day workshops and have made a commitment to serve children in their community.
