Join us in celebrating Emmy Bii as our GO! Ambassador of the month for January in Kenya.
My name is Emmy Bii, originally from Kericho but now residing in Nairobi. I am a mother of two wonderful sons aged 15 and 11.
In 2023, my pastor, who leads a Community Based Organization in Tasia caring for vulnerable children and families, introduced me to Global Orphans Relief during a workshop at Citam Valley Rd.
The stories shared that day inspired me, leading me to partner with Global Orphans Relief to support orphans and widows in my community. I firmly believe that you don't need a fortune to make a difference; you can start with what you have (Exodus 4:2), helping one orphan at a time.
Through my own experiences, I've learned that love is the most powerful gift we can give to orphans. Thus, I began building strong relationships with the orphans in my area.
Over time, I've been able to assist numerous cases. Recently, I provided education and support for my nieces, who are orphans, and helped orphaned children facing charges in court for minor offenses. Upon learning they were held in a police cell and couldn't afford bail, I stepped in to secure their release.
However, helping orphans and widows presents many challenges. Financial resources are limited, and there are countless needy cases. Moreover, orphans and widows often face injustice due to their inability to pay for services or lack of support.
My message to humanity is simple: let's strive to create a world where everyone feels loved and equal, regardless of their familial status. Whether with parents, orphaned, widowed, or widowers, let's extend kindness and support to all.

Global Orphan Relief (GO) has been serving orphaned children since 2005. We have accomplished this work to date through local partners in each country that provides oversight and distribution of care through three care initiatives; Home-Based Care, Education, and Nutrition. In 2022, we launched our Church Mobilization Initiative where we are mobilizing the local church to care for orphan children. Last month, we impacted over 13,000 children in Asia (unnamed country), Ethiopia, Kenya, Pakistan, South Sudan, and Zambia within these four initiatives.
Beyond the financial commitment of the workshops, this effort is to be indigenous, self-propagating, and self-supporting. Our objective is to engage local churches to expand our GO! network, mobilize the church body to serve orphaned children and to advance the Kingdom through demonstrating the Gospel to others. Through these workshops, we are:
Church Mobilization is our newest initiative launched in February 2022. We are currently working with local area churches to co-host Great Commandment Workshops where we bring together multiple subject matter experts to discuss the why and how to serve the poor generally, and orphan children specifically. We track the impact of children served through this effort to justify continued investment.
We have co-hosted and facilitated twenty-six workshops in Africa and Asia where we have hosted 4,633 ministry leaders. After holding these workshops, we have been honored to commission 3,765 GO! Ambassadors. GO! Ambassadors are those who have received the call to serve orphan children in their communities during these one-day workshops and have made a commitment to serve children in their community.
