GO! Scale & Scope

GO! Scale & Scope

We are so thankful for many of you, our field partners, and our GO! Ambassadors that are rapidly expanding the number of children impacted by this ministry. There is much that is changing in our world that can create uncertainty, but it is obvious that beyond any real or perceived challenges, the people involved in this movement move forward in faith. Well done!

Since 2017, we have grown the ministry by six times when considering the number of children impacted. We have experienced growth in each of our initiatives over the last five years, with Church Mobilization dramatically increasing the number of children impacted over the last twelve months.

Our Church Mobilization is slightly different from our other initiatives, however, shares the same objective: to provide loving support for orphans, fostering a greater capacity for physical, spiritual, and emotional healing and growth

This new initiative is more biblically focused as we encourage the local Church to care for orphan children in their communities. While this format is less direct for us in determining how children are served, it is a beautiful picture of how the Father wants to use his people in the Kingdom. This structure maintains dignity within Church body, is more organic in terms of how the children are served, and is sustainable as the care provided is resources locally.

Furthermore, the Church Mobilization Initiative encourages spiritual formation within the body. Of course, our objective is care for orphan children, but as we come along side of the Church more is happening in this process. The Great Commandment Workshops we facilitate with the sole purpose of mobilizing the local Church to care for orphan children, is intrical to the faith journey for the body of Christ. Clearly, loving your neighbor is an important command in scripture that goes hand-in-hand with discipleship and the Great Commission. We believe that these three elements cannot really exist without the other.

Church Mobilization will continue to be a key component of our ministry and we are honored that God can use this initiative to advance the Kingdom! We will hold another 10 or so Great Commandment Workshops in 2023.

Our three original initiatives; Home-Based Care, Education, and Nutrition, will continue to grow through the year, but at a slower pace due to the increase resources that are needed. We remain committed to these areas of care and can address additional needs in the field when resources are made available.

Global Orphan Relief (GO) has been serving orphaned children since 2005. We have accomplished this work to date through local partners in each country that provides oversight and distribution of care. We impacted 7,712 children in Ethiopia, Kenya, Pakistan, South Sudan, and Zambia within our Home-based Care, Nutrition, Scholarship, & Church Mobilization Initiatives in 2022.
