I have been blessed to visit Zambia eleven times since 2006 in our quest to served orphaned children. The two orphanages that we have developed there, House of Faith & the House of Hope, are very special places. You might say that they are on holy ground.

We first opened House of Faith (HOFO) in March 2008 when we received our first child Sibijane. 100’s of people have visited HOFO over the years to serve the orphaned child and have been blessed on the process.

We deployed a team of men in 2012 to serve at these two orphanages, and more specifically, they were talked with building the last of 6 homes for the children at HOFO. It really was a special time, and this team and objective was planned for two years in advance.

I am also thankful for being able to share this place on five different occasions with my son Noah. It is strange, but HOFO is kind of like a home away from home. I have not visited Silembe, where HOFO is located, since 2018 and I miss it. I miss the people. I miss seeing the children. I miss Mike and Linda Jones of Noah Ministries -who is our partner for serving in the Southern Province of Zambia. There are many things I miss about Zambia and look forward to returning, but just don’t when quite yet.

2006 -Zambian woman near Ndola. In 2008 I went back to the same location, a shanty town near Ndola, to find her and I brought her a copy of this beautiful picture. She was pleased and so thankful. What a wonderful, beautiful woman!

I am so thankful for so many of you that have made HOFO & HOHO possible. You have provided a place of comfort and safety for many orphaned children through the years. You have blessed two communities, 100’s of orphaned children, and you have provided a place where the Gospel is demonstrated daily. I will return and I am looking forward to that day.

As I have been reflecting on all that has been accomplished, I have include some of my favorite pictures on this post, and one video from our time in Zambia in 2012. Be blessed!

We have been serving orphaned children since 2005, and in addition, many widows are blessed through our home-based care initiative.  The care we provide, at whatever level, has a ripple effect through the entire community as we demonstrate God’s love for His people.
