Orphaned Children | Southern Province, Zambia
Early on we decided that we were only going to receive the most vulnerable at House of Faith & House of Hope Orphanages. We never turn away those who desperately need assistance, but we do serve children on the margins. If a child can be cared for at home by their extended family we believe that is where they should be, however, our children don’t have that option. Either the extended family already has too many children to care for, it is a single-parent household, or there are no parents.
The other matter that was important for our partnership in the Southern Province of Zambia was to allow these children to be cared for in a family setting that would provide opportunities for them to thrive. For those children that currently live in one of our homes at House of Faith or the House of Hope are now part of a family, and for some, they are part of a family for the very first time.
These children are thriving because of the loving support of their care givers, the partnership of two ministries that developed this opportunity, and because of our child sponsors. So many parts of the body have some together to be the hands and feet of the King that loves His little children. Thank you for being a part of their story some way.
We now have 64 orphaned children that are part of our Home-based Care Initiative in Zambia. Combined with orphaned children that we serve through this initiative in Pakistan & South Sudan, we now host 88 children. In 2021, our plans include to grow this initiative to 107 orphaned children, but we can do this without additional child sponsors.

We have been serving orphaned children since 2005, and in addition, many widows are blessed through our home-based care initiative. The care we provide, at whatever level, has a ripple effect through the entire community as we demonstrate God’s love for His people.
