Global Orphan Relief Update – Mackmore In Zambia

Mackmore is now over 7 years old and the Doctor in Lusaka feels that she can surgically close his ruptured ear drums at this point.

Mackmore was a very sick little boy when we received him at about 8 months old; he was always being treated for ear infections. His real problem was ruptured ear drums and his nose drained out his ear. Maybe this condition was a birth defect. Surgery was done to remove his adenoids. When he was about 3 we were so excited to see his nose run after the surgery. He also was given a hearing aid a couple of years ago that he has not used very well. He keeps taking it out. The Doctor told us he was able to hear with one ear, but his hearing was as if he was underwater.

Our prayer request is for the Doctors to do what the Doctors do to close his ear drums and for the Lord to do what the Lord does and heal him so he will be able to hear normally. We will travel tomorrow to Lusaka which is a 6 ½ hour drive from the House of Faith. He will be checked in at 8:00AM Monday morning for blood work ahead of the surgery which is scheduled for Wednesday, April 25th. Depending on if he is taken in early or after Lunch on Wednesday they’ll decide when he is to be released on Thursday or Friday. Thank you for your prayers for this little man of ours and for safe travels to and from Lusaka the capital city of Zambia.

7) “Teach One Child, & Save Thousands!” Help us keep the children attending School through our Scholarship program in DR Congo and Zambia. The feeding program in South Sudan also keeps the children coming to school each day.
