Komana is a Blessing!

Komana Kameyu is another one of our Foster Care Children.

Komana came to House of Faith November 24th, in 2008.  She was just 6 weeks old at the time.  You see, Komana’s mom passed away when she was just 15 years old bringing water back from the river.  Komana’s grandfather brought her to us asking for help as they could not care for a baby.

When Komana was nearly 7 years of age, her grandparents felt they could care for Komana and the school nearby their home was a better school than our Community School at the House of Faith.  Global Orphan Relief buys Komana’s uniform each year and pays for her yearly school fees.  We visit Komana each December around Christmas time to check in on her and give her a gift and a treat bag full of sweets.  In addition, Komana’s grandparents have our contact details and know if we are needed for anything that they can call.  Even after the children transition back to their extended families in the village, they receive the support they need from GO!.  Mike, Linda, and the team in the U.S., are blessed to be a part of helping the kids in this way.

We are also so blessed to see Komana each year.  She is a happy girl that is always smiling and Komana is number 5 in her class of 30 kids!

Komana is one of the 688 orphaned children that we support in the DR Congo, South Sudan, and Zambia, but there are thousands more that need our help.  Our donors are blessing Komana with everything she needs.  With your helpwe can do that for hundreds more.
