House of Hope – 2nd Home Prepared for opening

House of Hope Orphanage – Sinazongwe, Zambia Update->

We are so blessed and excited to have found metal bunk beds for the second Valley house.  The problem has been that there are no carpenters that could be found in the area and moving items in from Livingstone was not an option.  We were hoping for improved beds that were built for the first house.  So Linda was out and about to hunt down some different options.

We received a price of K1400.00 each from a carpenter in Livingstone that would build the beds so they could be taken apart and moved to the valley.  While in Livingstone yesterday Linda spotted beds in a shop near Social Welfare.  They had 7 in stock for K1300.00 and just the number of beds needed for us to open the 2nd Home at the House of Hope Orphanage.  There will be a bit of a discount also coming when we collect them -making them even a little cheaper.  Due to a team visit that we are preparing for; all the food and other shopping items already on board, we did not have space to bring them yesterday so we put a deposit on the beds and will collect them on the 6th of Aug when the team departs.  Things are starting to move …..  God is good!
