Project Overview
The primary objective is to provide all of God’s love that can be given through a “home and family” to a homeless orphan child. We acknowledge our utter dependence upon the power of the Holy Spirit to accomplish this objective.
We have happy children who are learning to understand and experience the true meaning of joy. We find proximity to extended family (if any) and familiar community to be important. They play as all children do. The older children have daily chores. Pre-school for young ones and ongoing private instruction for school age kids is standard procedure. Church, evening singing and Bible stories is a part of the routine. Tree climbing, soccer, the hunting of small creatures in the bush and the other elements of a young imagination abound.
There is predictability in their future. From age 14 to 18, preparations have been made for their transition back to their extended family. A bicycle and a new place to live is step one. Some will go on with advanced education or opt for a vocational pursuit. So far we have one young farmer and a caterer. Another, Faith Siambokoma, is now a mom herself and living with her new family not far from the orphanage.
We have made great progress since our humble beginnings and with your help, we can reach even farther. Our highest priority is that each orphan becomes an ever brighter, spiritual lighthouse in their world pointing others to a hope that is everlasting.
