Meet Ritesh Pariyar | Church Mobilization Nepal

This 9 years old boy name is Ritesh Pariyar. He was born in Humla district, which is located in the North Western part of Nepal. His father passed away due to heavy snow slide in Humla district when he was just 3 years old. His mother fled their home soon after this, and there was no one to take care of him
Ritesh does not remember much as to how he came to Kathmandu. While he was in the street he used to eat mud as his food. Life is an orphan is very difficult in Nepal, but God has opened the door for him when he was brought to a children’s home last year. He is getting nurtured in a home environment, and he now attends school. He is studying in grade one.
Ritesh is receiving regular assistance from one of our ambassadors, Kesari Midhun. She is sponsoring him by providing some clothes and school supplies that he needs each month, and she is ready to help him according to his ongoing needs. Well done Kesari!
Global Orphan Relief (GO) has been serving orphaned children since 2005. We have accomplished this work to date through local partners in each country that provide oversight and distribution of care through three care initiatives; Home-Based Care, Education, and Nutrition. In 2022, we launched our Church Mobilization Initiative by which we are mobilizing the local church to care for orphan children. Last month, we impacted 20,209 children in seven countries in Africa & Asia within these four initiatives.
Beyond the financial commitment of co-hosting Great Commandment Workshops, this effort is to be Indigenous, self-propagating, and self-supporting. Our objective is to engage local churches to expand our GO! network, mobilize the church body to serve orphaned children and to advance the Kingdom through demonstrating the Gospel to others. Through these workshops we are:
Church Mobilization is our newest initiative launched in February 2022. We are currently working with local area churches to co-host Great Commandment Workshops where we bring together multiple subject matter experts to discuss the why and how to serve the poor generally, and orphan children specifically. We track the impact of children served through this effort to justify continued investment.
We have co-hosted and facilitated thirty workshops in Africa & Asia where we have hosted more than 5,000 ministry leaders. At the conclusion of these workshops, we have been honored to commission more than 4,000 GO! Ambassadors. GO! Ambassadors are those who have received the call to serve orphan children in their communities during these one-day workshops and have made a commitment to serve children in their community. In January 2025, this GO! Ambassador Network served 17,549 orphan children.
