JOY Education Centre is grateful for your support in 2023. With your assistance we were able to buy for our Grade 1/2/3 Exercise books which helps children in their education without hindrance. All of the children achieved their academic goals in those various grades (classes).
In the month of May, two children, Natalia Omondi and Ellah Omondi, were able to get a P.E. Kit which enable them to be equal with other children during outdoor activities. We were very much thankful because through these children's increased self-esteem, the two kids were able to play with others freely hence boosting their mental capacity.
Through the feeding programme that you support, we have improved the education standards of the learners because nearly all of them were able to better concentrate on their studies. We are very much thankful for your contributions towards the lives of our Orphans and vulnerable children that attend our school.
In February 2023, the two twins were able to join Grade 1 because through your monthly support we were able to buy for them full school uniforms and school bags. The two children were happy and today they are enjoying learning like other pupils.
In November, we were able to buy the Homework Assignment books to help of learners in their studies both at home and in schoo. Global Orphan Relief (GO) has been serving orphaned children since 2005. We have accomplished this work to date through local partners in each country that provides oversight and distribution of care through three care initiatives; Home-Based Care, Education, and Nutrition, In 2022, we launched our Church Mobilization Initiative where we are mobilizing the local church to care for orphan children. Last month, we impacted 16,196 children in Asia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Pakistan, South Sudan, and Zambia within these four initiatives.
As we grew our mission to aid orphan children, we began providing food aid to children in South Sudan and Zambia in 2016. Today we provide aid via our Nutrition Initiative to 1,768 children in Ethiopia, Kenya, Pakistan, & South Sudan.
Provision of food aid takes place in cooperation with five field partners in four countries in Africa and Asia. This aid includes food and water that is appropriate for the local population.
