We have been blessed by so many of you in 2023 as you have faithfully provided aid to more children in the first four months of 2023 than in 2022 as we have impacted an average of 4,268 more children each month this year. On the downside, funding continues to fall short of funding all of the needs in the field.
Thus far through the first four months of the year, we have reduced administrative and fundraising costs by 24% over last year, while we have increased our field costs by 11%. This picture will become a bit more dire when we finalize May’s reporting as most of our reserve was used to cover field costs.
Our forecasting earlier this year caused us to reduce levels of support in many of our initiatives, so the only other option moving forward is to suspend some of our mission projects unless there is a dramatic change in resource availablity.
Our funding need for June is as follows:
Our movement now has over 240 funding partners that provide for 1,000’s of children. We need to add new folks that would like to invest in the Kingdom by providing aid to orphan children. This will enable the continuation of our plan to demonstrate the Gospel around the world to a growing number of children in the field. Global Orphan Relief is one of the great values for investing Kingdom resources as we work to bring up the next generation.

Pray for this ministry. Pray for wise decision making and that the children receive all that they need.

Global Orphan Relief (GO) has been serving orphaned children since 2005. We have accomplished this work to date through local partners in each country that provides oversight and distribution of care. In 2022 we impacted 7,700 children in Ethiopia, Kenya, Pakistan, South Sudan, and Zambia within our Home-based Care, Nutrition, Scholarship, & Church Mobilization Initiatives.
Scott Nordstrom leads GO! today and has done so since we launched in 2005. Scott has served with GO! for 17-years. Scott has been instrumental in deploying 174 volunteers on 29 teams to the mission field, and has personally served in DR Congo, India, Kenya, Mexico, Nepal, South Sudan, and Zambia.
