Apart from school feeding programmes for GO! Sponsored schools in South Sudan, the country’s Motto of “Education for All” has now added another advantage to the pupils benefiting under this project. Isaiah Deng Manut, aged 14, from Adoor Primary School in South Sudan becomes another successful beneficiary of Global Orphan Relief (GO!) school meals effort in South Sudan.
Deng became the best student in his school’s primary eight exams and had this testimony to make about GO! Sponsorship in South Sudan.
“I am happy for being part of GO! School feeding programme where I am fed, taught and taken good care of with their support. I am happy with the results I have received from examinations, but still without GO! I wouldn’t have had the chance to be in the school at all. Thanks to our donors for helping us without hesitation.” Deng expresses his happiness after being declared the best student in his school.
Deng was an orphan whose life was difficult in his uncle’s house. He was brought to Adoor Primary School due to limited feeding from the relative’s house where he was accommodated. Malnourished only four years ago, he is now becoming a smart and intelligent young boy who has been topping his classes for the last two years.
Global Orphan Relief (GO!) in collaboration with Christ Mission to the World (CMW) establishes feeding centres at village schools to provide meals to orphan children and have inspired an education campaign promoting vulnerable children to attend school.

We have served in South Sudan since 2016 and have provided an estimated 1.7 million meals impacting more than 3,200 children in South Sudan. The scale of this initiative has grown by over 7 times since our launch in 2016, and this growth is driven by the near-famine conditions, infux of refugees from Sudan, and other socio-economic challenges in this country.
In cooperation with three partners, Kids for the Kingdom, Christ Mission to the World, and 200 Orphanages, there has been $143,000 invested in four school sites since October 2020. This investment provided for clean water, kitchens, storerooms, and latrines, all which allows for cost-effective distribution of food aid in these communities.
