The headteacher of Lueth-wek Primary School has greatly applauded the impact that the nutritional project has contributed to children’s healthy growth in his community. The impact of the nutrition assistance is also encouraging spiritual wellbeing and psychological empowerment in South Sudan. In his brief statement, headteacher Piol Philip Piol says their village is blessed to have such opportunity of support from Global Orphan Relief with implementation from partnering church-based organization, Christ Mission to the World.

“This project has helped our community and particularly the children without parental cares, orphans or those whose parents can’t afford their sustainability,” Piol reiterates.

According to Piol, his school has had several supports which include school meals, spiritual counseling, preaching for the words of God and basic education.

“This support has improved the children status especially their growth and psychological wellbeing. They have been at an excellent status since this funding started here. We are grateful of this opportunity and would wish this to continue,” Piol further reiterates.

In collaboration with Christ Mission to the World and GO! has produced the promising brilliant children of their generation.

With their villages' living conditions, here used to be tough life as experiences can tell; but kids now become active church goers and are physically healthy.

In most parts of South Sudan, food security is an issue for children, and especially for orphan children who may have no advocate.

We have served in South Sudan since 2016 and have provided an estimated 1.3 million meals impacting more than 3,200 children in South Sudan. The scale of this initiative has grown by over 7 times since our launch in 2016, and this growth is driven by the near-famine conditions and other socio-economic challenges in this country.

In cooperation with two partners, Kids for the Kingdom & Christ Mission to the World, there has been $130,000 invested in these three school sites since October 2020. This investment provides for clean water, kitchens, storerooms, and latrines, all which allows for cost-effective distribution of food aid in these communities.
