Meet Marko KENYANG, 14 year-old boy whose life has been greatly improved & transformed by attending school.
Marko KENYANG of Lueth-wek, becomes one of the brightest pupils after he left market hustling and became a regular school and Church attendant due to the care provided to vulnerable child.
KENYANG, 14 was born to a poor single mother who couldn't afford daily meals for him and his other two siblings as life had been tough on them. He decided to be hustling around the market where he could beg or at times grabbed money from women for survival means with his siblings. As life went harder, he heard of a school where he was told the feeding was free if one was a vulnerable child like him, hence he decided to join the school last year and was able to be fed under the School feeding Program at Lueth-wek Christ Mission in South Sudan where he rapidly grew into a smart young boy.
KENYANG who has been known for being a market's money-grabber in every neighborhood and surrounding market's has story to tell people of what Go funding has done in his life.
"I'm thankful to God for the great transformation which happens in my life today. I was just a street wanderer and a confused beggar but today, my future is clear." Marko KENYANG expresses in Dinka language when explaining the greatest impact of his life transformation.”
He says he is now being respected at his village and school because he is always neat and hygienic. He is grateful for the opportunity and wishes to wisely use the opportunity to help others when he gets learned. He is looking forward for scholarships opportunity in order to study medicine or priesthood so that he pays back to the needy people of God.
Like many other beneficiaries, he says the feeding under school meals program has given him a huge life impact and that he is totally different from how he was before joining GO! Sponsored school.

In the first five months of 2021 we have experienced a dramatic increase in the number of children coming to our partner schools to receive meals. In the first five months of this year we have provided an estimated 261,300 meals impacting 2,613 children. The scale of this initiative has grown by more than 206% when compared to 2020 when we served just an estimated 85,160 meals to 852 vulnerable children.
Education in South Sudan is facing enormous challenges with the lack of qualified teachers, and little funding to effectively operate local schools. Most schools lack basic requirements like classrooms, toilets, food, and clean drinking water.
Plans for 2021 is to provide nutrition to more vulnerable children in the Aweil area. Just in the last 30-days another 549 children have come to receive meals. In cooperation with multiple partners (Kids for the Kingdom & Christ Mission to the World), we have invested in these school sites with additional infrastructure over the last 6-months by investing $109,200 during this time for kitchens, storerooms, and latrines.
Today we serve these precious children with our partner Christ Mission to the World who are the hands and feet on the ground, and through this partnership we will serve an estimated 63,240 meals to 3,162 vulnerable children at three village schools in the Aweil area this month.
You may send support or other correspondence to Global Orphan Relief, 16352 Prairie Farm Cir, Parker, CO 80134 or you may give also give electronically to support the feeding of vulnerable children at 2021 South Sudan Nutrition.
