Buy a Brick Build a Future

Our Plans for 2021 include six capital projects that will have a positive impact on children for years to come, and some are necessary as we attempt to engage new partners to assist in the care for these children.

In South Sudan, we have $118,200 in projects that have just recently been completed or that are now under construction.  The are thankful for Kids for the Kingdom for their contribution to this effort, but for our part we have $15,600 in funding yet to raise for projects already under construction.

In Adoor, this kitchen and storeroom project is furthest along and $4,400 in funding is still needed.  In Beliek, construction on the latrines has started, but $11,200 is still needed for this project.

These projects are needed for us to be more efficient in feeding the children that attend the schools.  Additionally, these facilities are needed for the World Food Program to consider providing food for the schools.  This would be a huge win for the children as portions would increase and there may be a possibility whereas the children could take a food ration home with them at the end of the school day.

With the projects underway or just completed at Luethwek, Adoor, and Beliek Villages, these facilities will impact the 2,613 vulnerable children that we currently feed at these schools with our local partner Christ Mission to the World.

In Zambia, we have been working with our partner Zambia Messianic Fellowship (ZMF) since 2017 to assist with their Jerome Fleischer Day School where 260 orphaned children attend school.

We currently support 20 of these children on scholarship and assisted ZMF in 2018/19 with the purchase of their current school facilities.  The $8,000 needed today for the school is to build two classrooms that will provide for 30 students each.  This will allow the school to provide for a grade 9 to prevent students from dropping out of school.

Additional needs exist in in South Sudan for a home for orphaned children ($12,500), and in Kenya to provide school facilities ($20,000) for 151 vulnerable children.

We have not completed many large capital projects for past several years.  Our last big project was at the House of Hope Orphanage and that goes back to 2018, however, we did develop two orphanages campuses in Zambia with our partner Noah Ministries. These homes have the capacity to host 96 children.

We’ve attempted to focus on providing care for more children in need and not building structures, but at times these facilities are needed for the efficient provision of care.
