GO! | Church Mobilization

Are you available? This type of question requires a response, and almost always a request for additional information.
What I am experiencing is that we don’t always have access to more information. I have been invited to many places in the world than I had the opportunity to visit, and some of the destinations I have ventured to I didn’t really have a personal interest in visiting at all. There is always a sacrifice of time and resources with any mission deployment that I have been blessed to be a part of, and the nature or outcome of the visit has not always been pre-determined. Especially when visiting a place for the first time there is more known unknowns than you can imagine.
I am envisioning so many possibilities for 2020. Serving more children is possible. Serving in more places is possible. Serving with more partners is possible. Now I am in a unique position to know more about the needs and potential partners in certain places, but there are the unknowns that continue to intrigue me for 2020.
I believe that we are being called back to Asia in 2020. This time will be a bit different though, as we are more familiar with the cultures there, however, the outcome of our efforts remains unknown. I can imagine that this might sound a strange, but we don’t know how the Father will move among His people. I do know that He is calling us back to encourage the local church to serve orphaned children. That’s all I know. That’s it. Sure, there are facts and figures I can throw at you, there’s even a workshop outlined, but these are all crafted by human hands. Proverbs 16 tells us to commit our actions to the Lord and our plans will succeed.
It is clear we are to return to Asia with a church mobilization strategy. As many of you know this not something we have focused on in the past, however, we have deployed this strategy in an unintentional way in the past with some success. The Hope for the City Orphanage in Kitwe was established after I shared a message of hope in 2006. God will move with just a small act of obedience on our part.

We will be returning to Asia in February 2020 with five Great Commandment Workshops scheduled. This time of fellowship, encouragement, teaching, and training will be an effort to deploy the local churches to serve the orphaned children. As you may know, Asia is a complicated place to communicate the Gospel and what people are better equipped for this task than the local church? While our initiative will be more about demonstrating the Gospel than evangelism what might the Father accomplish with this simple act of obedience?
We believe that by unleashing the local church to address the needs of orphaned children can ultimately result in impacting thousands of vulnerable children and hundreds of communities. Join us in this effort to rescue the next 1,440!
Global Orphan Relief has been serving orphaned children since 2005. We have accomplished this work to date through local partners in each country that provides oversight and distribution of care. Join us with partnering with the local church throughout Asia.
