Widows & Orphans

We started working with Pastor Saleem Raza of Bethel Church of Pakistan to serve orphaned children in 2011. Our partnership took a 3+ year hiatus, primarily based on GO! capacity issues, but recently re-engaged the Bethel Church in a pilot program of sorts.

In 2020, Pastor Saleem communicated to us the rising needs of families led by widows. The current economic downturn brought on my the COVID-19 situation, accelerated the financial needs of these families.

When possible, GO! has always been a proponent of children staying with extended families, and in this case when the mom is still part of the lives of the children what a great opportunity to keep families intact, while providing some level of assistance to meet the needs of the family.

Our pilot program began in June 2020 and we are currently serving three families with a total of seven children. We will add a fourth family in January, headed by Sumaira who lost her husband a year ago. Her six children will be able to go to school and receive the food they need through our home-based care initiative that will empower these children to stay at home with your mother.

We have been serving orphaned children since 2005, and in addition, widows, families, and entire communities are transformed through our home-based care initiative.  The care we provide, at whatever level, has a ripple effect through the entire community as we demonstrate God’s love for His people.
