From Linda Jones in Zambia:  We experienced power issues on and off again this week.  We do need prayers for baby Faith who is not yet 1 and in Mama Mary’s home.  Michael brought her to Kalomo Hospital over the weekend to be seen by the Clinical Officer, but she was then referred to see the Doctor.  She was having trouble breathing.  It was kind of a wheezing sound like Asthma. She was admitted.  The Doctor did not come in for rounds the next morning so we didn’t get an update when we expected.  Momma Mary said she did not rest well in the hospital, but was getting some rest the following day.  Keep Faith in your prayers.  We have contacted her father to find out if this is something any family member has a history of, but he has not yet responded as of yet.

Baby Faith was discharged on Monday morning.  She is still wheezing a bit and has a review next week on Monday.  We are still trying to get in touch with her father to find out family history as nothing was provided on her paperwork.

I did get a chance to see Olivia on Monday.  She is looking and feeling so much better.  She also had a review today at the Hospital and they were happy with her recovery.  Olivia first came to live at HOFO in 2008, along with her sister Faith.  Olivia now receives support from GO! through our Foster Care program.  Olivia has struggled with illness most of her life.

The cows arrived back to the orphanage after all three night workers went with Justine to look for them.  Justine has been relieved of his duties of watching animals.  Michael said last time which was the fourth time he lost them the next time he would no longer be watching them.  He just isn’t responsible enough with them.  They went missing Friday morning so we are very blessed that they have been found.   Not sure how to handle this, but our grade 7 boys will be taking the animals out since they are finished with school because of their 7th grade exam that has already been taken.  We had a good rains this week with even the start of puddles.  Michael is out all week teaching, and Friday I will be working in the valley on the school program for orphans.

Thanks for prayers it has been a wild week or so…

Development for the House of Faith Orphanage (HOFO) in Silembe, Zambia, began in August 2007, and we received our first child, Sibajane, in March 2008.  Today we care for 52 orphaned children from this campus and have opened 5-homes.  Each home is headed by a housemom that raises the children as her own.   HOFO is a special place and built on Holy ground.  For more information about House of Faith Orphanage you can go to https://globalorphanrelief.org/house-of-faith-orphanage-silembe-zambia/.
