Pray for Rain

Zambia Update:  We need RAIN!  I have heard that some areas around us have not yet even planted because it is too dry.  Our children have done well to get their maize in the ground and have it germinated and they have applied their first fertilizers.  Our sunflower has also germinated.  Our garden is holding on but without rain we don’t want to over use the well which is very low on water because the rains have not yet come to replenish.  We are even watering our small orchard so the trees will not die we just planted.

Our children are enjoying a New Year’s meal at church today where an all night prayer meeting took place for rains and the beginning of 2016.

Michael is still in the village teaching and should arrive home late today.  Mamma Benita is overseeing the move into town today I am hoping they will arrive before lunch to the new house.  Justin is looking better but still no results from his blood work yet.

Happy New Year!  Holidays here are nothing like in the states 🙂  Just another day….
