Background

We were connected with Pastor Saleem in 2011 for the first time when we worked with him to serve children at an orphanage located in Raiwind, Pakistan.

BMS Bethel Church was established in the year of 2005. They started in the town Raiwind of Lahore district with a single church. From their beginning, it has been their burden to work with the orphans and widows in their community. They currently work in the areas of church planting, Bible training, orphan and widow care, outreach, and disaster relief.

While this Mission Project began with a single household in 2020, we have served as many as seventeen households with fifty-eight children. Resource constraints required us to reduce this effort to the eleven households with the forty children that we currently serve today last year.

This activity includes celebrating Christmas and Easter with these families. In addition, most all of these families attend a local area church that has been planted by BMS Bethel Church of Pakistan.

As you might imagine, these families are left behind in their society, however, this work provides an opportunity for these family units to stay together.

Future plans may include providing additional opportunities for these families to become self-sustainable that will provide even more hope for the future.
