We recently finished our home visits to the children we support while they remain with their extended families. Today there are 10 of these children and we received good reports on all of them.
Children like Komona -we always visit in December with a Christmas treat bag and a new dress. We received her school update and she is having to repeat grade 3. Seems the teacher felt she should not go on until she has all that is needed for grade 4. We agree and school fees were provided and funds for her uniform. She is a very happy girl. She left us at House of Faith when she was 5 years. She does not remember to much of her time with us. It’s kind of sad because we remember so much of her younger years. I just look up to the Lord and say thank you for allowing us to be there for Komona to grow her to where her grandparents were able to again care for her. Update from Linda Jones of Noah Ministries; our ministry partner in Zambia.
We believe that it is imperative that these children remain with extended family if at all possible, and of the children that we currently serve in Zambia today 69% remain with their families in their communities. We provide home-based care and scholarships to 212 orphaned children in Zambia.
