Hope for Children in Pakistan!

Life for an orphan child in Punjab, Pakistan can be extremely difficult, shaped by poverty, social stigma, limited access to education and healthcare, and often a lack of emotional support. While some children find refuge in orphanages or with extended family, many are left vulnerable and neglected.
We are grateful to be working with Kids Kingdom Under Grace Ministry Team to make a difference in the lives of so many orphan children in Pakistan. In this partnership, Pastors Romaish and Salomi are able to provide emotional support for these children, as well as meet some of their physical needs with meals provided. In addition, during certain parts of the year, we are able to distribute clothing and other items to these precious children. Some recent scenes from the work are below.

💔 Emotional and Social Challenges
Loss and Trauma: Many orphan children have lost parents due to poverty-related illness, accidents, or violence. The trauma of loss can deeply impact their emotional well-being.
Stigma: Orphans often face social discrimination. In rural areas especially, children without parents are viewed as burdens or outsiders.
Neglect and Abuse: In the absence of strong child protection laws and enforcement, orphans are at higher risk of neglect, abuse, or even child labor.
🏚️ Living Conditions
Extended Family or Orphanages: Some orphans live with distant relatives, who may struggle to care for them. Others are placed in overcrowded and underfunded orphanages.
Street Life: A heartbreaking number of orphans, especially in cities like Lahore and Faisalabad, end up on the streets, forced to beg or work to survive.
📚 Education
Limited Access: Education is not always accessible. Uniforms, books, and fees are unaffordable for many. Girls especially are at a disadvantage due to gender biases.
Low Quality: Even when available, public education in impoverished areas often lacks trained teachers, proper facilities, and consistency.
🍲 Food and Health
Malnutrition: Many orphans suffer from hunger or malnutrition. Regular, nutritious meals are rare without external aid.
Poor Healthcare: Access to medical care is extremely limited. Preventable diseases and untreated injuries are common.
🕌 Faith and Community
Religious Influence: Islam plays a major role in daily life, and some mosques or madrasas take in orphaned boys, offering basic shelter and Quranic education.
NGO and Church Support: Christian and Muslim aid groups work across Punjab to offer care, food, schooling, and spiritual encouragement to orphan children, often in very difficult circumstances.
💡 Signs of Hope
Local Heroes: Pastors, teachers, and community workers—often with very few resources—sacrificially care for orphan children, offering education, meals, and mentorship.
International Partnerships: Organizations partnering with local leaders help provide life-changing opportunities—shelter, schooling, and hope for a better future.

We thank our partners Kids Kingdom Under Grace for their efforts to provide for the needs of orphaned children in their community as we together feed 100 children through this outreach mission project. To grow this effort we will need additional monthly support which will allow us to feed more children need. There are many more children who are in need of aid. With your support, we can reach additional orphan children who will be blessed physically and spiritually. We can quickly increase the number of children served if resources are available.
Global Orphan Relief (GO!) has been serving orphaned children since 2005, and as a result of this effort, children, widows, families, and entire communities are transformed through our Nutrition initiative.
