Pure Religion | Partnership
In the mission field this term is often used loosely, however, partnerships for our ministry are foundational to what is being accomplished on behalf of orphaned children that we serve around the world. For GO!, these relationships are usually formalized in some way. We participate together with our partners for the betterment of the children, and we share a joint interest or objective in serving orphaned children. We have found that joining hands with other like-hearted organizations is instrumental for Kingdom success.
At Global Orphan Relief we desire to work with indigenous organizations in the countries in which we choose to serve. We also share a mutual faith in Jesus which provides for similar desires to advance the Kingdom of God. The Father uses these partnerships to bring heaven to earth—specifically to orphan children and the communities in which we serve them.
… We consider our “donors” to be partners in this ministry. Our funding partners are just as important as our field partners, and this goes back to Ecclesiastes 4:12—three strands are not easily broken. Our role is more of a conduit providing opportunities for our funding partners to serve orphan children directly.
A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken. -Ecclesiastes 4:12 (NLT)
God is inviting us into this story as he comes to the rescue for many children with no mom or dad. He is asking you to consider being his hands and feet to accomplish his purposes! You can join us at Global Orphan Relief, and we can journey together as we pray, volunteer, serve in the field, and financially support the least of these -the orphan child.
Global Orphan Relief (GO) has been serving orphaned children since 2005. We have accomplished this work to date through local partners in each country that provides oversight and distribution of care.
Scott Nordstrom leads GO! today and was a co-founder when we launched in 2005. Scott has served with GO! for 17-years and has been responsible in deploying 166 volunteers on 27 teams to the mission field. He has personally served in DR Congo, India, Kenya, Mexico, Nepal, South Sudan, and Zambia since 2005. Scott is the author of Pure Religion, and also speaks in the United States, as well as, internationally regarding child welfare and matters of faith, hope, and love.
