Water Is Life

As many of you know we have been involved in feeding vulnerable children in South Sudan since 2016 and we started at the Adoor Village & Beliek Village schools. While there are five schools within our partnership, many last basic infrastructure, and some not even clean water.

In 2017 we set-out to bring clean water to the final two schools located at Lueth-wek Village and Aweil Town. Water allows for additional opportunities for development for places like rural schools. We were blessed to work with Water for South Sudan to bring clean water to Lueth-wek Village in 2018. In 2020 we targeted this school to begin feeding children -really based on the limited number of children that we would provide for at 235. This was something we thought we could accomplish based on the resources available, and Kids for the Kingdom was gracious enough to help us with a temporary kitchen for the location. Then in July 2020, based on the support of one of our generous funding partners we were able to begin feeding, and as many of you already know, 235 children quickly grew to 834. What we thought would be our smallest feeding centre has turned out to be the largest of the three schools where we currently provide food. It is interesting how God turns our small amount Faith into something much larger that benefits so many more. I suppose God offers us opportunities that we can handle though that initial step of faith for providing food at Lueth-wek Village may have never been take had we thought we would serve 834 vulnerable children. In the past several weeks we experienced a problem with the borehole (water pump) and in coordination with Christ Mission to the World on the ground, we quickly worked to resolve the issue for the feedings could continue.

Thanks to all of our partners that have made the feeding of 835 vulnerable children in Lueth-wek a reality. We are grateful that you have allowed the Father to be His hands and feet in this instance. You simple act of obedience has been life-saving for so many.
