Ayieny, age 14, despite being born to a wealthy family, he suffered a huge trauma of being left to struggle with his mother because had many children to look after and more importantly his cattle. Hence making it hard for him to pursue education, but instead was forced to a child labour situation of looking after the cattle before he could be given food to eat in his parents’ house.

His life has been horrible, but he had to be patient and went on in a hopeless life full of despair. It was not long before Christ Mission to the World opened a school in his village where they were admitting children of his criteria to study, learn the word of God, and to receive food at the said school.

As he faced a tough situation, it was a long wait before he was filled with ambition and brightness when he joined the school two years ago and was able to be fed under the School feeding Program at Lueth-wek. He has rapidly grew into a smart young boy and has reflected on what life taught of him.

"I'm grateful and thankful to God for the great transformation which happens in my life so far. I never knew God was hearing my prayers everyday as I suffered a forceful labour of looking after dad’s cattle before I could be fed," Ayieny expressed in Dinka language when explaining the greatest impact of his life transformation.

He says he is now seeing his brighter future filled with hope and ambition of becoming exemplary to others when one trusts in GOD.

“I can now tell my brothers and sisters that nothing is impossible as long you trust in GOD who can always hear us and opens ways ahead.” He adds.

He says through his hope, he is no longer worried of where to get food, clothing and accommodation because he and his mother joined the church under CMW where they always get inspired and became powerful through prayers. He aims at becoming a pastor when he finishes his school as he hopes of spreading the Good News of the Gospel.

Like many other beneficiaries, he says the feeding under school meals program has given him a huge life impact and that he is totally different from before joining GO! Sponsored school.

Bona Ayieny of Lueth-wek Christ Mission to the World, an orphanage center for vulnerable children in South Sudan is another pupil with testimony this week after he became a regular school and Church attendant with huge life’s turnaround.

————————-

In the first seven months of this year we have provided an estimated 351,020 meals impacting 3,162 children. The scale of this initiative has grown by 2.6x when compared to 2020 when we served an estimated 135,180 meals to 1,552 vulnerable children. We have served an estimated 1.3 million meals to vulnerable children in South Sudan since 2016 along side our partner Christ Mission to the World (CMW).

In cooperation with multiple partners (Kids for the Kingdom & Christ Mission to the World), we have invested in these school sites with additional infrastructure over the last 6-months by investing $109,200 during this time for kitchens, storerooms, and latrines. We are thankful for these partners that make this work possible. We have taken this a step further in (July 2021 when Kids for the Kingdom agreed to support the vulnerable children with food, while we will focus on the orphaned children that are in need. Ultimately, more children will receive meals, with larger portions, and the Kingdom of God will continue to advance in South Sudan!
