Meet Luka Akot Aguer, a 16-year-old boy whose life has been significantly changed by Global Orphanage Relief. He applauds the hospitality and humanity offered to vulnerable children in South Sudan. He says that the funding has impacted their lives and that they’re grateful to be part of the GO! Nutritional Funding project.
Aguer says that he and his colleagues have bettered their lives beyond words can describe. Thanks to the program, they have survived the severe hunger trends in South Sudan, and with the intervention of GO!, their lives have never been the same.
Though still in primary five, Aguer believes that there is nothing for free on this economic world and that those who are putting their money together to support those they don’t even know in different countries, are indeed the heroes and heroines in the kingdom of God. He believes that they deserve praising and honor for having such unexceptional hearts.
Aguer further says that he and his colleagues couldn’t afford school fees and feeding in their previous schools, because everything cost money, but being part of school which has no fee for feeding, while offering education and even the words of God, he thinks he will use talent to learn and help others as he has been helped by GO!.
Like the other 3,500 beneficiaries in South Sudan, Aguer says the feeding under school meals program has given him a huge life impact and that he is totally different than he was before joining his GO! sponsored school.

In the first nine months of this year we have provided an estimated 403,320 meals impacting 3,162 vulnerable children in South Sudan. The scale of this initiative has grown by nearly 2x when compared to 2020 when we served an estimated 209,680 meals to 2,113 vulnerable children. We have served an estimated 1.4 million meals to vulnerable children in South Sudan since 2016, while serving alongside our partner Christ Mission to the World (CMW).
In cooperation with multiple partners (Kids for the Kingdom & Christ Mission to the World), we have invested in these school sites with additional infrastructure over the last 12-months by investing $126,200 during this time for water, kitchens, storerooms, and latrines. We are thankful for these partners that make this work possible. Working together more children will receive meals, with larger portions, and the Kingdom of God will continue to advance in South Sudan!
